Paddy : So far, paddy transplanting has been completed in 32.02 lakh hectares, which is 12% higher than the 28.57 lakh hectares recorded during the same period last year. This increase indicates favorable monsoon conditions and the positive impact of various government incentive schemes. As of now, pulses have been sown in 20.67 lakh hectares, compared to 18.47 lakh hectares during the same period last year. On the other hand, the sowing of oilseed crops has been relatively slow, possibly due to weak market prices. Favorable monsoon conditions, government incentives, and expectations of better market prices have played a crucial role in the overall increase in crop sowing. This increase in sowing area is expected to lead to higher production and will also support preparations for the upcoming Kharif season.
